Dancers give spirited performance

One of the most successful shows ever to come out of Ireland, Spirit of the Dance is bursting with raw energy in an explosive and powerful show which combines heart-pounding Irish dance with the sensual Latino rhythms of flamenco and red hot salsa in a thrilling production of strength and passion. Performances take place tonight at 7.30pm and tomorrow at 2.30pm and 7.30pm

The summer's hit movie, Mamma Mia returns to the Marina big screen this Sunday at 4pm and 7.30pm as part of a number of extra performances.

Meryl Streep leads an all-star cast in the beloved musical, which brings the timeless lyrics and melodies of iconic super group ABBA to the big screen. Extra screenings also take place at 2.30pm and 7.30pm on Tuesday and Wednesday.

From Thursday, Bruce James Productions Ltd presents classic edge of the seat drama, Intent To Murder by Leslie Sands.

As the plot twists and turns towards its unexpected climax, the events that follow are full of excitement and the unexpected outcome skilfully reconciles the audience's sympathies and sense of involvement with a demand for justice.

Leading the cast are Clare McGlinn and Nick Barclay and performances run nightly at 7.30pm, through until Saturday, September 13, with a special matinee performance at 2.30pm also on the Saturday.

Just a few seats remain for the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra's penultimate concert in its 2008 series on September 19 as Stephen Bell conducts a spectacular Tchaikovsky Gala.

Featuring international soloist Tasmin Waley-Cohen, the programme includes the Violin Concerto, Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture, The Waltz of the Flowers from Nutcracker and the Sleeping Beauty Suite.

Other top class entertainment lined up during September includes the eagerly awaited return of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, which runs for just 12 performances from Monday 29.
