SINGER Kevin Barry has one of the shortest journeys of all the artists appearing at Sunday's Country Music Festival at Pontin's, in Pakefield.

And he is relishing the opportunity of performing to his loyal following of fans.

Living just up the road in High Street, Kessingland, Kevin will be entertaining the audience with his easy listening style of real country music mixed with a little Blue Grass

He is one of three very different country music acts who will be providing over seven hours of entertainment at the event which replaces the festival previously held annually at Sparrow's Nest, in June

Headlining the festival will be Ollie Austin who will bring his full five piece band to Pakefield.

Ollie's “Best of Friends “ show is packed with over two hours of pure country music played and included the father and daughter duo, Merv and Maria, from King's Lynn.

Completing the bill will be Nicky James singing ballads with his mellow Irish voice.

Doors open at 1.30pm and the music starts at 2pm and goes on through the day until 9pm. Admission is £10 for adults and accompanied children are free. Apart from the music there's a huge dance floor, an all-day bar, catering facilities, trade stalls, a raffle; and a large free car park.

Tickets will be available at the door or by calling 01986 873854 or 07903 137 059, with all profits going to Lowestoft Hospital.
