IT'S all systems go this weekend for members of the Lowestoft Players and their latest musical, as the team move into their new home at the Bethel.

After months of voluntary work by an army of members, the Players are finally ready to open the doors of their new facilities just in time for the final two weeks of rehearsals for Boogie Nights.

Steve Wilson, Players publicity officer, said: “Boogie Nights and all future Players productions will benefit from the enormous space that is available within two rehearsal studios. With the main rehearsal studio we have been able to include a wall of mirrors and a dance floor the exact size of the Marina theatre stage. This will help streamline all future rehearsals and make the final transition to the theatre stage much smoother.”

The Boogie Nights cast will rehearse at the Bethel for the first time this Sunday.

The nostalgic musical tells the story of Roddy O'Neill, a Jack-the-Lad, whose life of birds, booze and boogie is about to be turned upside down.

The production will be at Lowestoft's Marina Theatre nightly at 7.30pm from Tuesday, September 22 to Saturday, September 26, with a 2.30pm Saturday matinee.

Tickets are available by calling 01502 533200.
