Curtain set to be raised on theatre group's latest show

The latest production from a long-serving amateur dramatics company is set to be unveiled.

Starting tomorrow evening, May 31, the Lowestoft Players will be performing Guys and Dolls at the Players Theatre on Battery Green until June 9.

Set in a world where the roll of a dice solves even the most awkward of disputes, the classic musical features a host of unforgettable numbers including ‘I’ve Never Been in Love Before’, ‘Luck Be a Lady’ and ‘Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat’.

The run, which sees the Players’ 50th anniversary celebrations continue, features eight evening performances starting at 7.30pm as well as two matinees on June 2 and 9 at 2.30pm.

Tickets are priced at £16-£18 and an be purchased by calling the Players Theatre box office on 01502 770020, or by visiting the Players website.

In September the company will also perform their second musical offering of the year, Made in Dagenham.
