PANTO FAVOURITE: Lowestoft Players have revealed the line-up for their post-Christmas pantomime Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp.

The theatre group has brought together another strong comedy team, with Players stalwart Stephen Wilson returning to the role of panto dame Widow Twankey, after a three-year absence.

Alongside Stephen, will be Stephen Clark as Aladdin and John Marjoram as Wishee Washee.

Stephen Clark received rave reviews for his role as the Beast in last year's pantomime, and John has taken a number of high profile roles in the group's latest productions.

With a cast of more than 30 singers and dancers and 12 children, audiences can expect plenty of comedy, great toe-tapping music from Mike West and his band, spectacular scenery and costumes and lots of special effects.

Aladdin and his Wonderful Lamp will be playing at the Marina Theatre, Lowestoft, for nine performances, including four matinees, from Saturday, January 23 to Sunday, January 31.

Tickets from 01502 533200.
