More family fun films at Marina

THERE are two special family matinee film screenings this weekend as the Marina's big screen shows two animated favourites.

The Lowestoft theatre will be showing the Fantastic Mr Fox (PG) tomorrow at 2.30pm and Up (U) on Sunday at 2.30pm.

The Lowestoft theatre will be showing the Fantastic Mr Fox (PG) tomorrow at 2.30pm and Up (U) on Sunday at 2.30pm.

Before this, apocalyptic sci-fi thriller 2012 (12A) takes centre stage.

John Cusack, Woody Harrelson, Danny Glover and George Segal star in the film which follows the prophecy stated by the ancient Mayan calendar, which says that the world will come to an end on December 21, 2012. The film screens tonight and tomorrow at 7.30pm.

On Tuesday, Hilary Swank, Richard Gere, Ewan McGregor and Christopher Eccleston star in the critically acclaimed Amelia (PG). The film follows the story of Amelia Earhart and is screened at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.

Other films set to screen at the Marina Theatre over the coming weeks include Avatar (12A), Harry Brown (18), New Moon (12A) and Nine (12A).
