Comedy and musical treats form part of a busy week at the Seagull Theatre in Pakefield.

On Saturday, June 17, at 7.30pm, James McDermott performs his acclaimed comedy Rubber Ring. This laugh-out-loud coming of age comedy centres around a Norfolk boy’s struggle with sexual and regional identity. Tickets cost £7/£5.

On Sunday, June 18, at 7pm, Andy Davis hosts another family fun evening of Karaoke in the theatre foyer. The bar will be open and admission is free for this fun event.

On Monday, June 19, at 10.30am and again at 1.30pm, children aged under three-years-old and their carers are invited to take a plunge into Orla’s Moon.

This is a new immersive music theatre production for toddlers aged under three and their carers.

A spokesman for the event organisers said: “Step into a beautiful moonlit world of dappled light, shimmering stars and tinkling bells and join us on Orla’s night adventure with her faithful dog, Silver, leading the way. Our welcoming cast will tell an enchanting story through song, dance and sensory props, inviting children to interact and immerse themselves in the joy of play.”

Admission is free but those interested must call the theatre on 01502 589726 to book your ticket. This show is suitable for under 3s only, with only 25 children per showing, and theatre staff need to know how many adults will be attending.

Please note, this show takes place in the venue’s large upstairs studio, buggies and prams can be left in the downstairs foyer.

Next Saturday, June 24, at 7.30pm The Seagull welcomes Slick Division back to the theatre once more. Since September 2016, brothers and former solo artists Jonny and Josh Cooper have been performing together, and producing new songs for their first EP. They perform covers of popular songs as well as original material, both recent and from our previous solo projects. Tickets cost £3.
