THE D-Tox Junkies are set to perform at the Brewery Tap tonight.

They were formed from two local bands late last year and after thrilling audiences back in December they return by popular demand. Support will be provided by Malicious Code, an alternative metal/punk band who will be making their debut at the venue, and The Brites. Entrance is £4.

The following weekend the first of the Brewery Tap's Free Fridays start with Rock Solid supported by Rise.

Rock Solid play classic rock covers and are made up of band members from SLYDE, Face 1st and White Noise, while Beccles band Rise feature musicians from Ice & Fire, The Glam Rockers, Texas Edge and the Buster James Band.

On Saturday, February 2 new wave pop-rockers The Glass Targets - who take their influences from The Who, Foo Fighters and The Clash - will perform. Entrance for this gig is £4.

The Brewery Tap is also promoting its annual Battle of the Bands competition. Entry forms for the Morlings and Journal sponsored event are available from the venue and Morlings.

The competition is open to all local bands based within 10 miles of the Brewery. Heats will commence in April and the final will take place in July.
