PAKEFIELD Singers are due to perform at St Peter and St John Church, Kirkley next Saturday.
The concert is to be held on behalf on the South Lowestoft Salvation Army, as the choir supports their appeal and the African Children's Choir who are visiting in November.
It will feature a dynamic programme entitled Hallelujah that includes a mix of music inspired by sacred words and emotions across the centuries and the continents. Songs will include Handel's Hallelujah Chorus and Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah, with music also taken from Germany, France, Ireland, Africa and America, as a broad range of styles are covered.
Alongside the Pakefield Singers will be a performance from the newly-formed North Suffolk Youth Choir. The fledgling group of 30 talented singers, ranging from ages 12 - 22, will be making their first public appearance as they share the fruits of their two workshop afternoons.
The concert, which will be conducted by Vetta Wise, is due to take place at 7.30pm on Saturday, June 7.
Tickets are £6 and £5 for concessions, and are available from Pakefield Cards and Crafts, Morlings, Oasis Christian Bookshop and 01502 574761. They will also be available on the night.
