The East Coast Cinema in Lowestoft is set to unveil a new off-peak pricing scheme.

From Friday, June 16 the early bird price of £4.40 a ticket will be applied to all off-peak shows.

Owner Michael Hansell, and the team at the cinema in London Road South, said: “We listen to you. Over the years we get so many good suggestions from our loyal customers and try and react and apply where appropriate. One such suggestion was ‘off-peak pricing’ that came from a customer on a Wednesday afternoon show who just happened to be one of only a few people in the auditorium.

“We at East Coast Cinema have given this a lot of thought and consideration and are pleased to announce that from this Friday we will be applying the ‘early bird’ price of £4.40 a ticket to all off-peak shows.

“They include as follows – all term-time shows Monday to Friday with a start time of before 6.05pm and the existing early bird shows on Saturday and Sunday mornings with a start time of before 10.30am. Please note that school holidays and bank holidays will not be considered off-peak and will be priced normally. Early Bird will continue as normal through school holidays. This can be used in conjunction with ‘Meerkat Movies’ for bigger savings.

“So if you are the type of person who likes to catch a movie after work or school or just likes even better value, then drop in and see us from this coming Friday, June 16.”

He added: “We hope that you see this as a big thank you for your loyal support these past few years and please keep the good ideas coming.”
