THE Royal Philharmonic Orchestra presents the final concert in its 2010 Residency at Lowestoft’s Marina Theatre on Saturday, November 27.
The concert, conducted by Robert Zeigler and featuring soloist Chloe Hanslip, includes works by Glinka, Beethoven and Dvorak.
Beethoven’s Violin Concerto provides the perfect opportunity for young virtuoso Chloe Hanslip to showcase her talents and the concert concludes with Dvorak’s symphony No.8.
In September, management at the Marina announced it had secured a seventh year of residency with the RPO for 2011.
The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra enjoys an international reputation for bringing audiences first-class performances and the highest possible standards of music-making across a diverse range of musical repertoire. This was the vision of the orchestra’s flamboyant founder Sir Thomas Beecham. In September, the announcement of the 2011 series in Lowestoft coincided with the orchestra embarking on its first year of a prestigious annual residency in Montreux, Switzerland.
Just a few seats remain available for next Saturday’s concert and tickets for the seventh year of residency are now available.
