Sacred music from across three centuries will be performed at St Peter's Church in Kirkley as Pakefield Singers present a Summer concert.

The programme will feature works from Handel’s Zadok the Priest, up to the present day arrangement of Psalm 23 – otherwise known as the theme for ‘The Vicar of Dibley’ – at the concert on Saturday, June 10, at 7.30pm.

Conductor Vetta Wise said: “This concert includes some of the finest and most well-loved sacred music ever written. The choir really enjoys performing this programme, which they sing mostly in the original language of each piece including Russian for music by Rachmaninov!

“I’m sure everyone will hear one of their own particular favourites and we are looking forward to performing this uplifting music on a summer’s evening.”

Tickets costing £8.50, which include interval refreshments, are available from Take Note Music in Grove Road, Lowestoft, choir members and on the door on the night. Under 16s are admitted free.
