Players head for the South Seas

AWARD-WINNING theatre group the Lowestoft Players return to the Marina Theatre next week with the musical classic South Pacific.

The show deals with the dramas of the American Marines on an island in the South Pacific during the Second World War, and features arguably one of the best musical scores ever written.

The show deals with the dramas of the American Marines on an island in the South Pacific during the Second World War, and features arguably one of the best musical scores ever written.

Starring in the legendary Rodgers and Hammerstein musical will be Lorraine Major as Ensign Nellie Forbush and Chris Moore as Emile de Becque. Supporting them will be Chris Penn as Lieutenant Cable, Dave Higgins as Luther Billis and Tina Vanston as Bloody Mary.

It will be performed nightly at 7.30pm from Tuesday to Saturday, May 22, with a special matinee at 2.30pm on the Saturday.
