An evening of drama with music from the world of opera will kickstart a busy few days at the Marina Theatre in Lowestoft.

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will return to the venue tonight (Friday, September 1) for A Night at the Opera – with outstanding overtures, poignant arias and beautiful duets being promised.

Also taking to the stage are supremely talented soloists, soprano Jeni Bern and tenor Alexander James Edwards, under the leadership of maestro John Rigby. Full price tickets cost £27.50-£32.50, with under 25s and group rates available.

Attention then turns to the big screen as The Beguiled (15), starring Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst and Colin Farrell, is shown at 2.30pm and 7.30pm on September 4 and 5. The Big Sick (15) will also be shown at 2.30pm and 7.30pm on September 6 and 7. All films are just £4.50 if booked 24 hours in advance. Call the box office on 01502 533200 or visit
