Fantastic music and a unique interpretation of a classic will be staged at the Seagull theatre in Pakefield in the week ahead.
This Friday, March 9, at 7.30pm, Tommy Winn returns with his Solo Eagles Tribute show following a successful debut show at the Seagull last year.
With astonishing backing tracks, a full band, thoroughly authentic sound is created – so, take it easy, acquire a peaceful easy feeling, and even though this may not be the Hotel California, you are definitely in for one of these nights! Tickets £5.
On Saturday, March 10 at 7.30pm the Seagull welcomes Zingaro Blue. This extraordinary band plays a fusion of Gypsy Folk/Rock/Pop/Jazz and blues all moulded into one.
Zingaro Blue create a colourful world of original music, photography and film with beautiful voices and the amazing talents of Mario Price and his gypsy violin.
Tickets are priced at £8.
Next Wednesday, March 14, at 7.30pm, and again on Thursday and Friday, March 15/16, Fabba Theatre Company present Spring into Shakespeare: King Lear. With their customary enthusiasm, humour and off-the-wall adaptations, this will be a unique interpretation of Shakespeare’s classic.
The plot may be tragic but you will leave with your heart warmed. Tickets cost £8/£7.
Looking further ahead, on Saturday, March 17, at 7.30pm the Seagull is pleased to welcome a great band, ‘Gin City’, back to the theatre. With good time music ranging from slow blues through to driving boogie woogie this is fantastic foot-tapping stuff. Tickets cost £7.
On Sunday, March 18, at 7.30pm, the Seagull’s bi-monthly performance platform for local poets and songwriters - New Words: Fresh Voices - takes place.
