Entertainment aplenty at popular venue

Treasures and gems from around the globe will be showcased as a popular band perform at the Seagull Theatre in Pakefield.
Pirate Joe and the Foreign Locals will take to the Seagull stage on Friday, May 11, at 7.30pm.
Woven into their mix of Gypsy Punk/Reggae/Ska performed on guitar, accordion and drums there will be treats aplenty and an arsenal of spellcasting tunes. Tickets cost £7.
On Sunday, May 13, at 7.30pm, the Seagull’s bi-monthly platform for poets and songwriters – New Words: Fresh Voices – takes place. Always varied, always funny, entertaining, exploratory and deep this is always a thought-provoking evening for the audience and performers alike.

Next Friday, May 18, at 7.30pm, local historians, Chris Brooks and Bob Collis will team up to present Lowestoft at War.
This illustrated talk, which is being presented as part of the Save Our Record Office appeal, will cover evacuation, Naval services, incessant raids by enemy aircraft and more.
This promises to be a fascinating and informative evening. Tickets cost £5.
One of the best tribute bands around – Pure Floyd – will hit the Seagull stage on Saturday, May 19 at 7.30pm.
Whether you are a Pink Floyd fan or not, this is a must-see show. Tickets cost £15.
Continuing the entertainment, on Sunday, May 20, at 7pm, Andy Davis hosts another good natured and always fun evening of Karaoke in the foyer bar. A family friendly atmosphere makes this a great night for experienced and novice singers alike. Admission free.
