THE Marina Theatre's summer film season commences tonight with a real family favourite.

Shrek, The Final Chapter (U) sees the return of everybody's favourite ogre, as Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz and Antonio Banderas once more reprise their speaking roles in the animated hit.

Longing for the days when he felt like a “real ogre”, Shrek is duped into signing a pact with the smooth-talking dealmaker Rumpelstiltskin. Suddenly he finds himself in a twisted, alternate version of Far Far Away, where ogres are hunted, Rumpelstiltskin is king and Shrek and Fiona have never met.

Now, it's up to Shrek to undo all he's done in the hopes of saving his friends, restoring his world and reclaiming his one true love.

The film is screened tonight at 7.30pm, daily at 2.30pm and 7.30pm until Tuesday, and then at 2.30pm and 6pm on Wednesday and Thursday.

Also screening on Wednesday and Thursday at 8pm are special advanced previews of The A Team (12A).

Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson and Sharlto Copley star in the updated film of the hit 1980s series.

Hannibal, Face, BA Baracas and Murdock are an elite team of Iraq War soldiers who are convicted of a crime they did not commit. They must use their unique skills to find the true culprits and clear their names.

Other films set to screen at the theatre in Lowestoft this summer include Toy Story 3 (U), Inception (12A) and Knight and Day (12A).

Admission is £4 for adults and £3 for over 60s and children. To book or for more details call the box office on 01502 533200.
