Claire Louise Dowson's oil painting “excuse me your silver lining's showing” has been chosen for Sue Ryder Care's signature event, which takes place at the prestigious Mall Galleries in London from Wednesday to Sunday.

Claire is a talented and passionate artist, whose art provides an escape from her illness, bi-polar disorder. Her piece, which is one from a series of local sky paintings, made it through two selection stages to make the exhibition.

Here it will be available for sale, with 35pc of the proceeds going to supporting health care charity Sue Ryder Care.
