Music, songs and sketches that raised the spirits during the war will be showcased during a special theatre show next week.
Songs of Victory – a show by Full House Productions – will be performed at the Seagull Theatre in Pakefield next Friday, May 4.
Commemorating music, songs and sketches made famous by Vera Lynn, Flanagan & Allen, the Glenn Miller Orchestra and more, a talented cast are looking forward to returning to the venue following a sell out Remembrance Day show last November. Producer Paul Amer said: “Music was such an important factor in maintaining the spirits of the British during both world wars, offering hope and optimism in a time of such fear and uncertainty and we are looking forward to celebrating these songs that everybody will know and can join in with.”
Songs of Victory starts at 7.30pm with tickets at £10 for concessions and £12 full price, available via 01502 589726 or www.theseagull.co.uk
