LOWESTOFT'S Marina Theatre presents a host of first class entertainment next month with something for all the family as top comedy, music, dance and drama all take to the stage.

LOWESTOFT'S Marina Theatre presents a host of first class entertainment next month with something for all the family as top comedy, music, dance and drama all take to the stage.

Returning by popular demand next Saturday is the rock 'n' roll touring show That'll Be The Day. The show has been thrilling audiences for over 20 years and returns with new material for 2008.

On Monday, June 2, Scottish singer-songwriter Isla Grant presents an evening of country, folk and Irish favourites. Her songs have been recorded by a range of artists including Daniel O'Donnell and Reba McIntyre.

Eric Potts and Damian Williams star in the classic comedy Doctor In The House, which runs for four days from June 4. The production follows the experienced young medical student Simon Sparrow as he begins his five-year internship at St. Swithin's Teaching Hospital.

The original books by Richard Gordon spawned several successful plays penned by Ted Willis as well as a series of films and a TV sitcom that lasted over a decade in the 1970s.

Top stars from the 1960s visit on June 8 as legendary artists with PJ Proby, Mike Pender, Chris Farlowe, Brian Poole and Vanity Fare perform Oh Boy! It's the Non Stop 60s.

On June 9 and 10 another top UK comic takes over the Marina as Lee Evans performs his two sell out shows.

From June 11 classic thriller Strangers On A Train will be presented on stage for four days. Patricia Highsmith's novel was famously made into a film by Alfred Hitchcock and now Hannah Waterman, Benjamin Roddy and Nick Barclay star in a stage adaption packed with mystery and suspense.

June 15 sees a celebration of Broadway and the West End as Masters Of The Musical is performed. Another event returning by popular demand on June 18 is an evening with Gervase Phinn as he shares his hilarious tales of life as a schools inspector in the Yorkshire Dales.

Brand new musical All You Need Is Love celebrates the swinging 60s on Thursday, June 19, while the month is rounded off with the search for this year's Journal Carnival Queen on Friday, June 27, Legend of Motown on Saturday, June 28 and the Glenn Miller Orchestra, with special guest Joan Regan, on Sunday, June 29.

In addition to the live entertainment, the Marina big screen will also be presenting a number of top movies including The Other Boleyn Girl (12A) and Son Of Rambow (12A).
