Vintage vehicles take part in the event this weekend

THE East Anglia Transport Museum is holding a steam and vintage weekend tomorrow and Sunday.

It features visiting steam models and various vehicles, model and table top displays and pre 1960 cars.

It features visiting steam models and various vehicles, model and table top displays and pre 1960 cars.

A free bus service will operate on a half hourly basis using a selection of the museum's resident buses.

All are welcome to use this service which stops in Lowestoft at the railway station, the bus station and near the seafront a few minutes later. The first departure from Lowestoft station is at 12.30pm tomorrow and then every 30 minutes stopping at the bus station and the seafront.

On Sunday buses start at 10.30am and again run every 30 minutes.

The park and ride service to Gisleham School will be operating on both days as there will be no parking at the museum as normal on special event days.

The event will be supported by the Waveney Model Railway Club, Lowestoft Vehicle Club, Norfolk Military Vehicle Group and for the first time the Suffolk Road Safe's Grand Driver Road Show will be attending.

Spaces are available for any classic or vintage vehicles on the day for those who have not already entered. Special event admission rates apply with free entry to exhibitors, maximum four per vehicle.
