Stunning shows at Lowestoft's Marina

A FEAST of half term family entertainment is promised this week at Lowestoft's Marina Theatre with top children's show Fifi and The Flowertots, All Star Wrestling, family films and the eagerly awaited return of the magnificent Chinese State Circus.

Before the family entertainment commences the Marina big Screen hosts the riotous period comedy Easy Virtue (PG) starring Jessica Biel, Colin Firth and Kristin Scott Thomas.

Set in the late 1920's, a young English man falls madly in love with an glamorous American woman, his mother develops an instant allergic reaction and a battle of wits ensues as the young American attempts to tiptoe through a her mother in law.

Tomorrow at 7pm brings a special final big screen outing for the ever popular High School Musical 3 (U). Seniors Troy & Gabriella face the prospect of separation as they head to college. Joined by the rest of the Wildcats they stage an elaborate spring musical reflecting their experiences, hopes and fears.

This Sunday at 3.30pm and Monday at 11am and 2pm, Fifi Forget-Me-Not, the star of the hit pre-school series Fifi and the Flowertots presents her very own theatre show Fairy and the Flowertots.

Following Tuesday evening's sell out performance by Errol Brown, on Wednesday at 2.30pm the Marina big screen presents Madagascar - Escape 2 Africa (PG). Featuring the voices of Ben Stiller, Chris Rock and Sasha Baron Cohen this animated adventure follows a group of zoo animals who hatch a plan to escape inside an old plane badly repaired by penguins.

Thursday sees top stars from American Wrestling do battle with the very best of British talent, including solo and tag team bouts. The fun kicks off at 7.30pm.

Dazzling acrobatics and death-defying stunts are in store from next Friday with the return of the Chinese State Circus. Featuring a host of acrobats, Olympian gymnasts and martial arts performers, the production is the latest in a series of major events to head to the Marina.

The action-packed production is set to combine the martial arts warriors from the Shaolin Temple with Olympic gymnasts, and some of the world's greatest acrobats - The Tai An Acrobatic Troupe with back-flipping acrobats, oriental plate spinning divas, knotted contortionists and lavish costumed Lion Dancers.

Performances run at 7.30pm on Friday and Saturday, February 20 and 21 and Sunday, February 22 at 6pm.
