Industry professionals to lead performance workshops for theatre enthusiasts

A series of workshops will provide an opportunity for theatre hopefuls to learn the ropes from West End professionals.

Theatre Workshops is set to return to the June Glennie Studio at Lorne Hall in Lowestoft, helping children aged eight to 18 to hone their talents in singing, acting and dancing.

From August 12 to 16, youngsters will work on showstopping musical numbers, while developing skills such as vocal connection, characterisation and audition techniques.

"We treat our young people like they are part of a professional company," said Rachel Knowles, actress and founder of Theatreland Workshops.

"It is amazing to watch them evolve and grow throughout the week."

Miss Knowles will lead the workshops alongside a host of industry professionals and, at the end of the week, friends and family can watch performances showcasing what has been learnt throughout the week.
