YOUNG Beccles band Plan Nine take to the Brewery Tap stage in Oulton Broad tonight as they perform an entirely original set of their 70's inspired rock music.

Formed in early 2005, the band consist of lead vocalist and guitar player Will Vaughan, bass player Drew Woolnough, and brothers guitarist William Jones and drummer David Jones.

Since being hand picked to support Rooster at the Waterfront in Norwich in October 2006, the band have gone from strength-to-strength, playing to a number of full houses including the Norwich Arts Centre and recording their six-track debut EP at Purple Studios in Norwich.

This will be a rare chance to see the foursome play in the area and their first gig at the Brewery Tap in almost a year, after members of the band moved to London to go to university.

In association with the Journal and Morlings House of Music, The Brewery Tap has announced that entry forms are now available for its annual Battle of the Bands competition. This year the competition is open to all local bands within 10 miles of the venue with heats due to commence in April and the final in July.
