The Waveney Sinfonia orchestra begins its 2018/2019 season with a programme featuring popular works by Dvorak and Mendelssohn.

The concert on Saturday, October 6 - at their regular home of Trinity Methodist Church, Lowestoft - will see the orchestra welcome Scottish violinist Charlotte Rowan, who will be playing Dvorak’s Violin Concerto.

Charlotte has previously performed this and other concertos by Tchaikovsky, Sibelius, Mendelssohn, Glazunov and Elgar. She currently teaches at Perse, St Faiths and the Leys Schools in Cambridge and King’s in Ely and is committed to inspiring young musicians develop their talent. The programme also includes Mendelssohn’s Scottish Symphony and Beethoven’s Overture, King Stephen.

Waveney Sinfonia Musical Society regularly attracts news players and welcomes a few newcomers for this concert. As always it is proud to have the professional expertise of conductor Adrian Brown.

Tickets are available from Lowestoft retailers F W Knights and Take Note Music, Saxons Alternative Therapy Centre in Beccles or on the door.
