The support of an estate agents has been hailed as "absolutely brilliant" by members of the Lowestoft Players as they prepare to hit the stage for their latest production.

This is the fourth show that Aldreds Estate Agents in Lowestoft has helped the performing society to promote their production - by producing and installing special eye catching estate agents’ advertising boards around the town.

Nick Garrod, chair of The Lowestoft Players, said: "We can’t thank Aldreds enough.

"We are a community registered charity and have very limited resources for marketing and publicising our productions.

"The Elf The Musical boards so generously donated by Aldreds really do help to spread the word."

The idea came from Darren Capps, branch manager, at Aldreds Estate Agents in Lowestoft.

He said: "Estate agents are usually viewed as being very serious.

"Helping The Lowestoft Players is always great fun, plus it is really good for us as a business to support the local community."

The colourful boards are a little different to the usual 'For Sale' ones positioned in front gardens and are easily spotted.

Aldreds has been in the area since 1857, with their first branch in Great Yarmouth.

They now have branches in Stalham, Gorleston and Lowestoft.

The Lowestoft Players have been entertaining the people of Lowestoft since 1967, with their musical theatre productions and pantomimes much loved and highly regarded.

The Players will hit the stage for 10 performances of Elf The Musical from September 29 to October 8.

The story of how a boy came to grow up as an elf in the North Pole is brought to life in this family friendly musical.

The festive musical will be staged at the Players Theatre on Battery Green Road in Lowestoft.
