Vacant former offices described as "offering opportunity for redevelopment" have been sold at auction.

The former offices of RM Tubby Ltd, situated close to Lowestoft town centre, went under the hammer at an online auction last week.

The purpose built offices at Stanley House - on the corner of Stanley Street and Walton Road in Lowestoft - were auctioned off on Wednesday, November 1.

Described as "office" and marketed by Auction House East Anglia, the auctioneers described it as "a rare opportunity", as it went the hammer on a freehold tenure with a minimum guide price of £200,000 to £225,000 plus fees.

A property description from the auctioneers stated: "Purpose built offices with generous car park and storage facility offering opportunity for redevelopment subject to planning permission.

"This purpose built building has been the offices of RM Tubby Ltd for a number of years and is now vacant.

"The detached building is located on the corner of Stanley Street and Walton Road in Lowestoft and offers a reception area, female and gents toilets, four offices on the ground floor and five on the first floor.

"The building also offers a large car park and a storage facility which is in need of repair.

"This is a rare opportunity and would suit a local business wanting space or someone wanting a redevelopment project."

According to the auctioneers, the ground floor of the building contains a "reception area with stairs to first floor, ladies and gents toilets and four offices."

Situated on the first floor is a "landing, kitchen and five offices."

To the exterior of the building is a "Gated entrance to a generous staff car park, along with an outbuilding for storage."

A spokesman for Auction House East Anglia said the "freehold detached office building" consisting of two floors and nine rooms was vacant, but had "development potential subject to planning permission" as it was "sold for £225,000."
