Music, comedy, party nights and fun for all the family will take centre stage as a seafront pavilion prepares for a packed programme of Christmas events and activities.

First Light Festival CIC, which manages East Point Pavilion in Lowestoft, expressed delight at announcing its Christmas programme - with a range of festive celebrations throughout December.

Seasonal celebrations at the pavilion kick off with a festive fayre on Friday, December 1 - between 4pm and 9pm - as products made by local makers and small businesses are showcased.

Loddon Brass Band will make its East Point Pavilion debut on Thursday, December 7 from 8pm as they perform some brass favourites along with modern pop and Christmas classics.

Award-winning character comedian Tracey Collins brings the musical comedy show Believe in Christmas Bingo with Shell Suit Cher at 7.30pm on December 8.

A spokesman for East Point Pavilion said: "Be prepared to laugh, be prepared to sing and be prepared to win some (questionable) bingo prizes."

Ghost stories at Christmas are an age old tradition - with Fright Christmas, presented by local theatre company Raconteur Theatre, on Saturday, December 9 at 8pm.

East Point Pavilion’s Christmas party nights on Thursday, December 14 and Thursday, December 21 - from 7.30pm - offer a perfect night out with friends or work colleagues and resident DJ, L.U.

A family friendly Christmas celebration fayre is held on Friday, December 15 from 4pm to 9pm with live music and children's activities.

A live comedy game show, where everyone plays along, will see the Christmas version of WiFi Wars held on Saturday, December 16 at 4pm - family-friendly age six-plus - and also at 7.30pm age 12-plus.

Hosted by comedian Steve McNeil and supported by Guinness world record breaking tech whizz, Rob Sedgebeer, each show sees entirely different games and quizzes.
