A care home group is set to expand as it unveils a new town centre office.

Just over a year after unveiling an exciting new home care service for Lowestoft and the surrounding areas, Lowestoft-based company Kingsley Healthcare is set to hold a three-day bonanza as part of a grand opening to celebrate its latest development.

After starting in Diss, and launching its second Kingsley Home Care branch in Lowestoft last September in a move that created more than 50 jobs, the new office will be officially opened next month.

Based at the former Barnardo's shop at 58, London Road North in Lowestoft town centre, locals are being invited to join "a three-day celebration" surrounding the opening of Kingsley Home Care’s new office.

The mayor of Lowestoft, Cllr Sonia Barker, will cut a ceremonial ribbon to formally open the office at noon on Tuesday, December 5.

Shoppers are invited to drop in for canapes and hot and cold drinks and to listen to the Full House duo singing Christmas hits from the 1950s and 60s.

From 2pm to 5pm, visitors will be offered coffee and cake and there will be an opportunity to discuss home care services with branch manager Nikki Roden and her team of carers.

The entertainment will continue on Wednesday, December 6 with staff dressing up for Elf Day and raising money for Alzheimer’s Society.

A Christmas hamper raffle, festive goodie bags and carols will be sung by the choir from Grove Primary School.

On Thursday, December 7 the home care team will be celebrating Christmas Jumper Day and handing out mince pies, cakes and goodie bags.

Kingsley Home Care Chief Operating Officer Georgina Johnston said: "Kingsley Healthcare has been a highly trusted care home provider for over two decades and that reputation gave our customers a lot of reassurance straightaway when we launched Kingsley Home Care two years ago.

"Our flexible service, offering personal care, domestic services or simply companionship in your own home, has proved so popular we are now opening a dedicated office in the town, separate to our Kingsley Healthcare head office, Kingsley House."
